For booklets W15 through to W23, there were two varieties of each issue. The second of each had a purchase price 10% higher than the normal price and this was shown on the cover. These booklets were sold in non-post office outlets, thereby allowing the vendor to collect a commission on the sale. |

| From W21a until W48a New Zealand Post produced the booklets in joined blocks of 5. This allowed a sheet of 100 stamps to be used without having to separate them. The blocks of 10 stamps would be separated when the booklets were split. This meant that some booklets in a particular issue would have nothing on the selvedge, others would have reprint kiwis, colour plate dots, or part printers imprint. | ||
