Comments :

The song was originally recorded as a duet with Ginger Holladay on March 15, but Ginger's vocals were not used, and they were removed leaving just Elvis. Additional backup vocals were overdubbed on March 18, but eventually Elvis and the overdubs were removed leaving the Take 12 rhythm track. On May 21, Elvis tried again as a duet with Temple Riser, but neither vocal was used, and later that day Elvis re-recorded new vocals to the rhythm track. On June 9, Elvis and the Imperials added further vocal overdubs and then horns and strings were added for the final product.
