Dene Hunter

English born Dene Hunter arrived in Wellington with a flash set of wheels, a good voice and a publicity claim of having worked with the Rolling Stones. Popular with the female fans, Dene cut a workmanlike cover of the Paul Simon song "Richard Cory" in 1966. He was backed by the Breakaways on this single. The reverse had a song called "Somebody Loses" and was released on the La Gloria label. He wandered off soon afterwards and hasn't been heard of in the industry since.

Dene Hunter can be found on the following compilation:-
