Ken and John

Ken and John were Ken Strong and John Stafford-Bush, two 15 year old Auckland boys. They originally worked under the name "The Starlighters". In April 1965, they successfully auditioned for Kingsway Productions Of N.Z. They played around the Auckland area and were managed by Robert Roy Handlin, the Director of Kingsway Productions Of N.Z.

In 1966 they recorded their only single on the Talent City label, a project of Kingsway Productions. It was produced by Robert.

In 1967 John joined the Challenge, while Ken continued to play with numerous bands on Auckland's North Shore.
