New Zealand Alternate Postal Services

Fastway Post

Fastway Post registered as an Alternate Postal Operator on 30 June 1998 and officially commenced operations on 31 August 1998. This was done through fifteen franchise outlets in the Hawkes Bay area, using a self-adhesive stamp with no denomination, but selling for 40c. Each franchise had their own unique self inking datestamp with a numerical identifier.

Fastway Post mail could be lodged in any New Zealand Post box and was delivered by New Zealand Post, who also controlled the supply of stamps.

Fastway Post was a subsidiary of Fastway Couriers.
