Dale Alderton Orchestra

Dale Alderton was a trombonist from Auckland. In 1947 he was a member of Epi Shalfoon's band.

By 1949, Dale had joined the Stebbing stable along with other local Auckland musicians. It was there that he met his future wife, Esme Stephens. He recorded either under his own name as the Dale Alderton Orchestra or with Esme as part of the Duplicats.

1951 saw the release of a 78RPM on the Stebbing label, "Castle Rock"/"It's No Sin", with vocals by Esme Stephens.
