The Beggarmen were a Christchurch folk group. Charlie Jemmet was an early member before being replaced by Bob Jemmett. Charlie formed his own folk / dance band and had some success producing three albums in the mid 70's.
The group was very much into Irish music and in 1970 they released an album "Hi! For The Beggarmen" on the Kiwi label. From it came their only single "The Lady Of The Lake"/"Pastor Paul".
