![]() Back Face of Closed and Folded Cannes - Pigs Fly Mailer Pack
|
This Pack was designed as a mailer (i.e. an advertisement to be sent
by mail) and produced by Telstra. It was issued in January 1997, to promote
the Cannes International Advertising Festival, and to also be distributed to potential Telstra customers to promote to them the opportunity of advertising on Telstra Phonecards. Telstra sent these Mailer Packs to their perceived potential advertising customers advising them they could enter a competition by inserting the attached Telstra Cannes Phonecard into any Telstra payphone which would then cause the phonecard to automatically dial the Telstra promotion hotline where the entrant would listen to the story of phonecards, after which they would provide their details, which would be taken down and automatically entered into the draw to win a trip for two (2) to the Cannes International Advertising Festival to be held in Cannes, France, between 22nd and 28th June 1997.
These Mailer Packs when closed were A4 size, but they were further
folded three (3) times so that they would neatly fit into standard DL size
(110mm x 220mm) envelopes, The quantity of these Packs produced is
unknown, but it is suspected that each of the 12,000 Cannes Phonecards was
originally mounted in a Pack, |
The Cannes Pack was issued in January 1997. Actual quantity produced is unknown. For details on this card, refer CANNES. |
