The Captain Munchies Phonecard Pack was first released at the Phonecard Collectors Swap Meet held at the Captain Munchies establishment on 12/12/1995 in Freemantle, Western Australia.
These Packs were included among the prizes that were won in a lucky draw of names from the meet’s entry box.
The packs won at this meet were found to have the word "CAPTAIN" misspelt "CAPTIAN" three times on them.

After being informed of the errors, the packs were subsequently reprinted.
There are small differences on the front cover, the layout of "Custom Phonecard" and "Souvenir Pack" were changed.
Inside, the spelling was corrected and different logo images were used.

Quantity produced was unknown.
