This first Geelong Field Trials Pack was issued for free during the Geelong Phonecard Trials in the Bellarine Peninsula holiday area of Victoria.
These trails were conducted over the Christmas 1989, and New Year 1990 holiday period.

From the low Card Number on the Phonecard in this pack, it would appear probable that at least the first two boxes of Prefix 3 $1.50 Geelong Trials - Surf Boats Phonecards,
with S/Nos ranging from 3 00000 to 3 01999, were put into these packs and issued during the Geelong Trials.

Quantity produced is likely to be around 2,000.

For details on this card refer
GEELONG TRIAL - SURF LIFE SAVING ASSOCIATION.

Other items that were handed out during these trials were a Cardboard Handout and a Self-Adhesive Sticker.
Both used the same image.

Interesting observation is that this handout shows the card as a $5.00 and not the $6.00 as issued.
