In February 1979, the LP was re-issued with the inclusion of the song I See Red as Track 1 and a new catalogue no L 36921.

The album was released on CD in 1991 as D19474.

In February 1981, the tracks were remixed and a new version of Frenzy was released for the UK, US & Canada markets in 1982. Deleted from the original version were Famous People, Roughest Toughest Game In The World, and Abu Dhabi. They were replaced with Holy Smoke, Semi-Detached, Carried Away and Livin' It Up.

An European album of the same name, without the "The", was released in 1980. It was a completely different album, with a different cover, showing people that weren't even Split Enz. It contained tracks from the UK "Mental Notes" and "Dizrythmia", plus the single "Another Great Divide". It was released on Chrysalis CHR1329. The tracks are :-
