The first release of this booklet was on CPL paper and the stamps were Perf 14 x 14.4. There are two versions of this one, the first fully Perfed in the left selvedge and the second only partly Perfed.

A very rare printing was also done on Harrison Paper. From the gum side the stamps have a cream colour compared to the whiter CPL stamps. The copies of the Harrison print that I have, all have full Perf in the left selvedge.

A reprint of the booklet was issued later, and this one was Perfed 13.3 x 13.6. The other differences are that it was Imperf in the left margin and also the printers logo was shifted lower on the stamp.

All booklets have full Perf on the right selvedge.

The Cycling Booklet saw many reprints and has a number of different combinations of Perf variations. These are all described below.

The Original issue had the printers logo on the selvedge and had Full Perf left selvedge and right selvedge. On the inside cover is an advertisement for "The Colonial Collection". This advertisement stayed on all reprints and overprints until the 4th reprint, see below.

The first reprint, indicated by 1 Koala on the selvedge, has two varieties, Full Perf left and right selvedge's, and Part Perf left selvedge with Full Perf right selvedge.

The second reprint, 2 Koala, is only available with Full Perf LHS & RHS.

The third reprint, 3 Koala, has three varieties, Full Perf left and right selvedge's, and Part Perf left selvedge with Full Perf right selvedge, and Full Perf left selvedge with Part Perf right selvedge. The Part Perf left selvedge is very rare and quite pricey if you can find one.

The same three combinations of the 3 Koala reprint were also used for the Austamp 90 overprint. The two combinations with Part Perfs are also extremely rare.

The fourth reprint, 4 Koala, was issued with the "Colonial" advertisement and then it became available with a new "ANZAC Tradition" advertisement. The 4 Koala Colonial was only available with Full Perf left and right selvedge, while the ANZAC had the same and also a Part Perf left selvedge with Full Perf right.

Tenth Sterner Booklet

The contents of this booklet contained seven 41c stamps, which totalled $2.87. The cover price was $3.00, so the Post Office declared that the empty booklet cover was redeemable for 0.13c.

There was one reprint of this booklet, as indicated by the 1 Koala. This 1 Koala version was also used for the overprint for the World Stamp Exhibition held in New Zealand August 1990.

This $8.00 booklet only contained $4.10 worth of stamps, but it also included a $4.00 entrance ticket to the 1989 Stampshow in Melbourne. The back cover of the booklet was also a tram ticket. Also inside was seven pages of information on the history of trams.

The stamps were a different Perf to the sheet version, plus they were Imperf top or bottom. The pane had a Stampshow '89 overprint in the selvedge.

There are three known overprints of this booklet. The ASDA Dinner, the Opening Sydney Tramway System, and the Opening Sydney Tramway Extension.
