Viking Records

1957 - 1978

Includes UBA 1972 -1974

Viking Records was a New Zealand owned independent label. While the majority of the recordings are by New Zealand artists, there are quite a few overseas artists whose original recordings were released in New Zealand, on the Viking label. Images for those are only shown up to number 50 at this point.

The first release was V64-1, followed by V66-2 through to V66-14. After this, the prefix VS was used. From 103, the VS was dropped, but returned around number 190. The UBA label, released by Viking, was used between 1972 and 1974, with catalogue numbers being interspersed between.
